MOST Amazing Escape results in three-way tie

Dec 3, 2018

Most Amazing Escape teamThe MOST Amazing Escape got the best of all three teams that competed in the final round of the event Nov. 29 at Missing Pieces Escape Games in Edina. Not a single team could complete Missing Pieces’ newest room, Final Frontier, before the clock ran out.

The teams ended up splitting the event’s prize pot of $3,800. One of the teams even decided to donate their winnings back to The Salvation Army.

When asked about the competition, one participant’s face just lit up.

“The whole competition was really fun,” said Amanda Skinner, one of four teammates from team Scooby Doo Gang. “We expected to have fun while raising money, and that’s exactly what we did.”

Most Amazing Escape teamIn the end, all teams agreed that the mission behind The MOST Amazing Escape – helping families escape poverty – was the highlight of the event. All funds raised from The MOST Amazing Escape went to support The Salvation Army’s Pathway of Hope program, which helps families break out of poverty.

The Twin Cities Salvation Army launched The MOST Amazing Escape in the fall of 2018 to encourage fundraising in a new, unique way. Teams of four to eight people were challenged to work together to solve an escape room by unravelling riddles and piecing together puzzles in an immersive experience that combines mystery, storytelling and strategy.
