Majors Tim and Sally Sell say goodbye to Bismarck

Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck community welcomed Salvation Army Majors Tim and Sally Sell in June of 2012, and now the community will say goodbye to them on Sunday, June 26.

The Sells look forward to their new appointment, but will miss all of those who have touched their lives in Bismarck. They will continue their devotion of service with a return to their home state of Indiana and the Sells also move in rank and are now majors in The Salvation Army.

The Bismarck Salvation Army will hold an open house on Sunday, June 26 at the Worship and Service Center, 601 South Washington St., Bismarck, N.D. The Sells have been Salvation Army officers for more than 15 years.

A couple of familiar faces will replace the Sells. Majors John and Faye Flanagan will return to the Northern Division. Major John grew up in Bismarck and Major Faye is from Duluth.

“Faye and I are excited to return home,” said Major John. “I worked as a teen at the Family Store in Bismarck and after graduating from high school at St. Mary’s Central I was sent to Minot to help with the flood relief.”

The Flanagan’s will move to Bismarck at the end of the month.
