Iron Range area, Minn. – The Salvation Army kettles are dusted off, the bells are polished and ready to ring, and the only thing missing is you.

The annual Kettle Campaign officially kicks off this weekend on the Iron Range and both Hibbing and Virginia are in dire need of volunteers.

Online registration to bell ring started a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately volunteers on the range have been a little slow to sign on. You could blame the slow start on the mild weather or the hunting season, but if you’ve already bagged your buck, the Army could really use your help.

You can register to ring online, simply click on the location, and add the date and time that works for you.

Just two hours of volunteering at a kettle raises an average of $60. That’s enough for The Salvation Army to buy groceries for three days for a family of four, or provide food and a night of shelter for a person experiencing homelessness. Register to ring today.

If you are not able to donate your time there are other ways to help. Please join The Salvation Army by volunteering or making a donation to support your local community today.
