Roseville, Minn. – Kids in third through eighth grade are invited to participate in a free basketball clinic at The Salvation Army at 2024 N. Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

The event is a collaboration between The Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. North High School basketball coach Larry McKenzie will lead the clinic. The kids will be divided into two groups: third through fifth grade, and sixth through eighth grade.

“We are excited to invite the community in to use our beautiful gym and learn basketball skills together,” said Captain Jim Brickson, leader of the N. Lyndale Ave. Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army will provide lunch and snacks.

Parents must sign a permission slip for their kids to participate. Space is available for up to 90 kids to attend.

For more information or to register, contact recreation director Lonny Evans at 612-522-4871.
