Crunch time: Army must raise $3.4 million by Dec. 31
Roseville, Minn.- With just days remaining in 2015, The Salvation Army still needs to raise $3.4 million to meet its Christmas Campaign goal of $11.6 million in the Twin Cities.
The red kettles will be packed up for the year on Christmas Eve, but you can still support The Salvation Army by donating online, calling 1-800-SALARMY (1-800-725-2769), or mailing a check to 2445 Prior Ave. N., Roseville, MN 55113. You can even donate stock to the Army.
“We fell short of our $11.5 million goal last year, which meant we had to serve fewer families by restricting our food shelf budgets and putting caps on programs like our Toy Shop,” said Major Jeff Strickler, Twin Cities commander.
To date, The Salvation Army has raised $8.2 million, an amount similar to this time last year.
“With an even more ambitious goal this year, these final days of fundraising are critical for us,” explained Strickler.
