The following list includes detailed information about the services The Salvation Army is offering in the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota, and North Dakota.  

In almost all cases, our food shelf and financial assistance services are offered by appointment only. So please remember to call first.

Twin Cities

Brooklyn Park Salvation Army, 10011 Noble Parkway in Brooklyn Park, 8 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4 p.m., 763-425-0517. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries delivered in parking lot. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow. Donations needed: Non-perishable food items.

Maplewood Salvation Army, 2080 Woodlyn Ave. in Maplewood, 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4:30 p.m., 651-779-9177. No guests allowed in building. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries delivered in parking lot. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow.

Greater Minnesota

Fergus Falls Salvation Army, 622 Vernon Ave., 9 a.m.–5 p.m., 218-739-9692. Hot lunches: Cafeteria closed; sack lunches distributed onsite from mobile kitchen. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries distributed in lobby. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow. Donations needed: To-go food containers, cleaning products, paper products, baby products (diapers, wipes, formula).

Hibbing Salvation Army, 107 W. Howard St., 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4 p.m., 218-263-5096. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries offered onsite. Guests allowed two visits per month. Hot dinner: Cafeteria closed; to-go meals distributed onsite. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow. Donations needed: To-go food containers, plastic eating utensils, cleaning supplies, food handling gloves.

International Falls Salvation Army, 1301 3rd Ave. W., 8 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4 p.m., 218-283-3394. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries distributed onsite. Sack lunches: Offered by appointment. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow.

Mankato Salvation Army, 700 S. Riverfront Dr., 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4 p.m., 507-345-7840. Hot lunches: Cafeteria closed; sack lunches distributed onsite. Public showers and laundry: Suspended until further notice. Men’s Shelter: Open until April 1. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow.

Rochester Salvation Army, 20 NE First Ave., 8–4 p.m., 507-288-3663. Hot lunches: Cafeteria closed; to-go lunches distributed onsite. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries distributed onsite. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow. Dental clinic: Open. Medical clinic: Suspended.  Donations needed: Nonperishable foods.

St. Cloud Salvation Army, 400 U.S. Hwy 10 S., 8:30 a.m.­­–4 p.m., 320-252-4552. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries distributed onsite. Hot lunches: Cafeteria closed; sack lunches distributed onsite. Emergency shelter: Open. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow.

Willmar Salvation Army, 521 SW 4th St., 8 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4:30 p.m., 320-235-2033. Open, with enhanced sanitation. Limited services due to staff shortage. Free bread offered at the front door.  

North Dakota

Bismarck-Mandan Salvation Army, 601 St. Washington St., 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–5 p.m., 701-223-1889. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries distributed onsite. Sunday hot lunch: Cafeteria closed; sack lunches distributed onsite. Financial assistance: Offered as resources allow.

Fargo-Moorhead Salvation Army, 304 Roberts St., M-Th 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4 p.m.; Fri 9 a.m.–12 p.m., 701-232-5565. Hot breakfast and lunch: Cafeteria closed; bagged meals offered at sidewalk-level window, Monday-Friday, 8–9a.m. and 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Public phone and shower: Suspended until further notice. Financial assistance: No in-person meetings. Services offered as resources allow.

Grand Forks Salvation Army, 1600 University Ave., 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4 p.m., 701-775-2597. Food delivery: Food boxes delivered to those who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 or are on public health order to quarantine. Services provided upon verified referral. Food pantry: Pre-bagged groceries distributed onsite. Also, facility is acting as the central distribution site of non-perishable foods for all other local food pantries. Financial assistance: No in-person meetings. Services offered as resources allow.
