Another Thanksgiving, another epic donation from Blue Door Pub.

Blue Door Pub volunteers cook foodFor the fifth year in a row, the Twin Cities restaurant chain is donating enough hot Thanksgiving meals to serve every person who comes through The Salvation Army’s doors on Turkey Day.

This year’s gift includes 1,200 meals going to seven of our Twin Cities locations: The Adult Rehabilitation CenterBooth Manor (supportive housing for seniors), Booth Brown House (youth housing), the E. Lake St. Salvation Army, Harbor Light Center, the Payne Ave. Salvation Army, and Hope Harbor.

The turkey dinners will feature every tempting Thanksgiving staple one would expect: stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and other delectables.

Lake St. in Minneapolis will serve Thanksgiving dinner at 12 p.m., and The Harbor Light Center at 1010 Currie Ave. in Minneapolis will serve from 11:45 a.m.–1 p.m. All are welcome and no registration is required.

“We applaud Blue Door Pub, its employees and its venders for helping to make Thanksgiving special for hundreds of people and families served by The Salvation Army,” said Lt. Col. Lonneal Richardson, leader of The Salvation Army Northern Division.

Blue Door Pub, home of the famous “Blucy,” includes three locations in Minneapolis and one in St. Paul.

Poverty is an everyday battle that families don’t always win. Thankfully, there is an army of loving people like you who fight on their behalf. Your generosity puts food on their table, presents under their tree, and joy in their hearts. Join the fight for good by donating online or at a red kettle, becoming a volunteer bell ringer, or recruiting your own army of fundraisers at FundraiseForGood.org.
