A bucket of help is on its way to flooded areas in Minn.
Roseville, Minn. – The Salvation Army is providing 275 flood kits to areas of Minnesota hit hardest by the recent flooding.
“There’s been a request from a couple different counties,” explained Major Fred Mead, Northern Division Emergency Disaster Services administrator. “On Wednesday, we delivered 50 kits to the Pine County area after Willow River topped it’s banks. Now we’re off to Hinckley and St. Cloud.”
A total of 150 kits will be delivered to the Hinckley area and 75 more will go to St. Cloud. The flood kits will be distributed by emergency workers who complete welfare checks of the families affected by the flooding.
The flood cleanup kits are five gallon buckets filled with all sorts of supplies needed to clean up a water damaged home. They come complete with bleach, sponges, squeegees and scrub brushes as well as latex gloves, work gloves and dust masks.
