Just two weeks remain to double your donation, courtesy of Degree of Honor.
Now through June 30, the life insurance company is matching all gifts made to teams competing in this year’s 10th anniversary MOST Amazing Race. Up to $10,000 worth of matching funds are available.*
Donations to race teams fund Salvation Army food and shelter programs in the Twin Cities.
“This match is a wonderful opportunity for donors to support their favorite team while doubling their impact on hunger and homelessness,” said race manager Julie Orlando. “If you don’t have a specific race team to support, please consider giving anyway. Simply view the list of teams online, put on a blindfold, spin around in circles, and give to whichever team your finger lands on.”
Jokes aside, the match is a wonderful opportunity indeed: Race donations support critical services like our breakfast program in St. Paul, and our Harbor Light Shelter in Minneapolis. Since 2006, the MOST Amazing Race has raised nearly $550,000 to provide hot meals and housing for struggling individuals and families.
Degree of Honor has been a proud supporter of The Salvation Army locally and nationally since 1994. The company’s members, agents and service clubs have held fundraisers, stocked Salvation Army food shelves, donated clothes, hosted craft fairs, and more.
“This year, Degree of Honor is thrilled to match every dollar given in June, doubling the impact of The Salvation Army’s food and housing programs,” said Michelle Alberg, Degree of Honor community service and sales manager. “Every dollar you give this month becomes two dollars as we work to alleviate hunger and homelessness in the Twin Cities. Please join us in donating and equipping The Salvation Army with $20,000 for their important contributions to our community.”
