Spiritual Ministry

When you think of The Salvation Army, you may picture a food shelf or red kettles. Yet above it all, we are a Christian church. We not only meet physical needs, but we heal souls through our spiritual ministry – by sharing the love of Jesus Christ and the promise of salvation. We want to help you explore what it means to have a personal relationship with God.

The Salvation Army is a church home to many on Sundays, but we also offer ministries during the week. Click the links below to reveal a description of each ministry:

Whether church is already part of your life or you are experiencing faith for the first time, you are always welcome. Each of our Worship and Service Centers in the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota and North Dakota offers a worship service, plus programming for adults and children on Sunday mornings. Contact your local center for times.

We know Sundays don’t always work, so we want to make sure you have a chance to connect with other believers. Most cities offer programming during the week for people of all ages – from men’s and women’s Bible studies to youth groups and social clubs for seniors.

Our officers are ordained pastors and can help you work through any season in life – spiritual or emotional. They offer advice based on God’s word and will pray with you for the strength to press on. Whether you are facing the loss of a loved one, working through a struggle in your personal faith or just need some solid advice, don’t hesitate to call.

We receive thousands of prayer requests in the mail from people all over Minnesota and North Dakota. Each request is given to a Salvation Army officer (pastor) or appropriate staff member, and they pray for every single one. To receive prayer, either visit the service center near you or submit your prayer on our contact form.
