Giving Tuesday donations matched by Deluxe
Roseville, Minn. – Black Friday and Cyber Monday are good, but The Salvation Army and Deluxe think that Giving Tuesday on Nov. 27 is better.
To prove it, Deluxe is offering a door-busting giving opportunity: All donations made online to the Twin Cities Salvation Army on Giving Tuesday will be matched, up to $10,000.
“We are grateful to Deluxe for this awesome giving opportunity,” said Lt. Col. Lonneal Richardson, leader of The Salvation Army Northern Division. “We pray our supporters take advantage of it.”
Donations made on Giving Tuesday will count toward the Twin Cities Salvation Army’s Christmas fundraising goal of $11.9 million – money that fuels life-sustaining programs for 144,000 people annually.
What’s more, 81 cents of every dollar you donate goes directly to help people in need. Here are a few examples of what your donation buys:
- $10 buys three hot meals and hygiene supplies for one person
- $17 buys a new winter coat for a child
- $30 provides a night of shelter, a hot shower and a meal for one person at The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center
- $150 feeds a four-person family for a week
Please join The Salvation Army on Giving Tuesday by making a donation or volunteering as a bell ringer to support your local community.
