Double your online donation right now. Cub Foods is generously matching all online gifts, up to $15,000, through Saturday, Nov. 8. Cash or checks given to Saturday’s red kettles at Twin Cities Cub Foods and Mall of America will be matched too, up to $20,000, by an anonymous donor. That’s right — all donations to kettles will also double.
Be sure to take advantage of one of these two ways to double your impact. Money given online and to our red kettles fund The Salvation Army programs that help people in need all year long.
The Salvation Army will launch its annual Red Kettle Campaign on Saturday, Nov. 8. The day will start with an 8 a.m. kickoff event at Cub Foods in Uptown Minneapolis. The festivities will include food, prizes and new Minnesota Twins manager Paul Molitor who will make his first appearance as The Salvation Army’s Twin Cities Christmas Campaign chairman.
“I am honored to be chairman of this year’s Christmas Campaign, and am privileged to be a part of the life-changing services to so many families and individuals in the Twin Cities,” Molitor said.
Molitor will sign autographs for Salvation Army supporters (one item per person, as time allows).
Also appearing will be Skipper, Rico, Private, and Kowalski from the upcoming movie PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR. Take a photo with the penguins, register to win tickets to an advance screening of the film and participate in other fun giveaways. PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR hits theaters this Thanksgiving.
Ringing All Day Long
After the kickoff ceremony, volunteer bell ringers – aka Rock Stars – will spread out all over the metro area to collect donations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can help by giving at one of the iconic red kettles outside any metro Cub Foods store or Mall of America.
Throughout the day, listen along on KOOL108 as we salute our bell ringers and share stories of hope made possible by red kettle donations. KOOL hosts will even stop by some of the kettles to report on the fun that’s happening in all corners of the Twin Cities.
