Donations matched, up to $500,000, just extended through Friday, April 10
We heard you! We know that some are still hoping to have your COVID-19 gift matched and because of it we have extended the date for one week. Donations must be postmarked no later than April 10 for your gift to be matched.
The COVID-19 crisis is growing. The Salvation Army Northern Division and our supporters are fighting back with new ways to give and make a positive impact.
Thanks to a $500,000 matching gift, all donations will be matched for gifts received with a postmark no later than Friday, April 10. That means your $50 gift is worth $100, your $100 gift is worth $200, and so on. Your donation will help double the amount of food, shelter, and emergency assistance we can provide to those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in Minnesota and North Dakota. (Read about how we are serving and where we are serving in Minnesota and North Dakota.)
There are two easy ways to give:
- Donate online
- Mail a check, postmarked April 10 or before, to The Salvation Army Northern Division, 2445 Prior Ave. N., Roseville, MN 55113
If you don’t have money to spare, you can still help by donating any of the following items at your local Salvation Army (watch national video explaining this need):
- Nonperishable canned foods
- Paper products (paper towels, toilet paper)
- Baby supplies (diapers, wipes, formula)
- Hand sanitizer
- Disinfecting wipes
Please call your local Salvation Army before donating these items in order to confirm drop-off hours and procedures.
Your help is needed now more than ever before. With an expected spike in requests for help during the coming weeks and months, ongoing public support is needed to help ensure that services are available.
“We are grateful for the kindness and generosity of our supporters,” said Lt. Col. Lonneal Richardson, leader of The Salvation Army Northern Division. “The Salvation Army is committed to using our resources to serve the most amount of people in the safest way possible.” Donate now.
