Find meaning with us on Easter

Added on Tuesday, April 15, 2014

This Sunday is Easter, a day when Christians all over the world will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Without the resurrection, Jesus would have been just another man who spoke God’s Word. But through the resurrection, He proved He is God’s own son who suffered and died in our place and has the power to triumph over death. Because of His great sacrifice and love for us, He offers forgiveness of our sin and restores us through grace, so we can experience an eternity in God’s presence. That’s why Christians call Him their savior. (Read the historical evidence that Jesus rose from the dead.)

Whether you know the story of Easter well, or you want to know more, we hope you’ll join us. You’re invited to worship at any of our 28 worship and service centers across the Twin Cities, Minnesota and North Dakota. Check with your local Salvation Army for specific times by clicking on the calendar page in the community menu at the top left of this page.

“Come as you are – we welcome everybody to worship with us, no questions asked,” said Lt. Col. Robert Thomson, Salvation Army Northern Division Commander. “Jesus is the reason The Salvation Army exists – to show His love to all by meeting human needs in His name. Join us as we worship Him and give thanks.”

Do you have questions about Jesus or the Bible? If you don’t know God, here’s a great place to start.

Our Salvation Army officers – ordained pastors – are also available for spiritual counseling. Contact your local Salvation Army for more information.
