Roseville, Minn. – For the ninth year in a row former Minnesota Twins All- Star Justin Morneau is helping collect winter coats for the Salvation Army’s Harbor Light Center in Minneapolis.

From Oct. 27 through Dec. 9, drop off new, or gently used winter coats to Fan HQ stores at Ridgedale Center or Eden Prairie Center, for a chance to meet Justin in person.

  • Donate one coat and receive a signed 8 x 10 photo of Justin.
  • Donate three coats and you’ll earn a chance to meet Justin in person at Ridgedale Center on Dec. 9 and get one item autographed (no inscriptions or selfies, please).
  • Donate 33 winter coats for an MVP ticket for Justin’s appearance at Ridgedale on Dec. 9. MVP ticket holders receive one autograph, one inscription, a fast pass to the front of the line and a posed photo with Justin.
  • Make a $33 cash donation and you’ll receive a signed 8 x 10 photo of Justin.

Dele Simenstad has helped collect more than 200 coatsFor the fourth year in a row, local travel agent– and Justin Morneau super fan– Dele Simenstad (pictured, left in 2015) is also collecting coats to support his drive.

“It all started for the love of Justin Morneau,” she explained. “The first year I collected 3, then the second year I got 33, and now we just go for it!”

Last year, Simenstad and her Sunshine Travel agency collected 820 coats for the drive. This year, she already has over 200 and is looking for more.

The time and location of Justin Morneau’s appearance at Ridgedale Center on Dec. 9 is still to be determined.
