Red Kettle Campaign

Ever wonder what compels volunteers to bell ring in the frigid Minnesota and North Dakota cold? It’s because they all understand how your handful of change or folded bill becomes something truly amazing – a warm bed, a meal, a little compassion or a second chance.

It may look rough, but bell ringing is actually pretty easy. It only takes one bell ringing shift (two hours) to raise enough money to provide two nights of shelter and four warm meals for the men, women and children who enter our doors every day. The bell ringing season starts in November and runs through the Christmas Eve, but you can sign up starting in July. Have questions? Check out this bell ringer video.

Standing in the cold not your thing? Think bell ringing is old school? No problem. The Online Red Kettle is a virtual bell ringing option starting in November that’s easy to share with your family and friends.

No matter how you decide to get involved when Christmas rolls around, the Red Kettle is the perfect example of how a little bit of giving can make such a big difference. For more information about the Red Kettle campaign, please contact Kelsey Mattison at 651-746-3510.
