The Salvation Army is one of the largest providers of toys to children who may not otherwise receive Christmas gifts. If you or someone you may know needs help with gifting presents for their families this year, please complete the Christmas application found here.
We help struggling households pay their utility bills, offsetting the added financial burdens that come with Christmas expenses and keeping the heat on during the cold winter season. This allows low-income families to maintain self-dignity and stability while keeping up with their bills.
The Salvation Army helps struggling families avoid falling into the cycle of crisis by supplementing their income with utility, rent, and other vital payments. Oftentimes, this assistance becomes the difference between shelter and eviction, between maintaining honest work and selling drugs or services for money, and between keeping kids in one place and moving them out of their home and onto the streets.
We spread Christmas cheer throughout the holiday season through traditions such as hospital visits, nursing home events, meal delivery, bell ringing, gifting programs, and clothing and Christmas toy donations. These services give the gift of hope and relief to low-income families, shut-ins, children of prisoners, and those without a home for the holidays.
