Monetary Gifts

Monetary Gifts

Want to have an immediate impact? Monetary gifts are a great way to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people who walk in our doors every day. We’ll make sure your monetary donation – including gifts made via cash, check, money order or credit card – is used in exactly the way you want to help. Whatever your passion, we have a way for you to give in support of it.

Here are three easy ways to donate:

  • Give online
  • Mail a check to: Salvation Army, 2445 Prior Ave., Roseville, MN 55113
  • Call 800-SAL-ARMY (725-2769) 24 hours a day

Your gift can also help fill the gaps by giving to our general fund. Ultimately, a gift of any amount is appreciated and helps us in Doing the Most Good®.

Charitable Deductions

Not only does your gift help the men, women, and children we serve, it can also help you. You can claim a charitable deduction of up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income for the year the gift is given. If you can’t use the entire deduction in one year, you can carry it over for up to five years.

If you live in Minnesota and do not itemize, you may deduct 50 percent of your total charitable contributions exceeding $500 on your Minnesota tax return. These are general guidelines and not professional tax advice, please consult your tax advisor.

Matching Gifts

Want to double your gift? Check to see if your company has a matching gifts program. Many businesses will match gifts given by employees to The Salvation Army, often doubling the total gift. To start a matching program with The Salvation Army, please contact Kaleigh Walter at 651-746-3506.

If you would like to host an event to benefit The Salvation Army, we make it easy. Simply complete a fundraising form and we’ll contact you to smooth out the details.
