Disaster Volunteers

Does your heart yearn to help when the unexpected strikes? Are you the first to organize a supply drive during times of disaster? We need people like you, ready and willing to help at any moment, to join our disaster response team.

Whether you want to serve a warm meal to hungry survivors or seek training to serve in specialized areas, there is a place for you to help. We are currently seeking skilled retired or semi-retired professionals to serve in a number of leadership functions.

Disaster Volunteer Application

All disaster response team volunteers must complete an application to be considered for service. Please complete the application and mail it to: The Salvation Army, Attn: EDS, 2445 Prior Ave. N., Roseville, MN 55113.

Training Courses

Before serving, volunteers attend training courses to learn about The Salvation Army and our disaster services program. (View course descriptions.) Introduction to Emergency Disaster Services and Disaster Food Services: Handling and Delivery are required for all volunteers. Additional training courses are available depending on your area of specialty.

After you have completed an application form, you can register for one of the upcoming training courses.
