Give Joy This Holiday

Last year in Minnesota and North Dakota, The Salvation Army gave nearly 230,000 brand-new toys to children in need, and a Christmas meal fit for a king to 15,000 families – and it’s all thanks to donors like you.

When you partner financially with The Salvation Army during the holidays, we’re able to give joy to families in your community (give online). You can also partner with us by donating goods to toy collections and holiday programs, where available.

Give Money for Toys or Food

The easiest way to help this Christmas is to provide funding for our holiday programs. The dollars you give help local families in the way you choose – for toys, Christmas meals or wherever it’s needed most. Donate online to give joy this holiday.

Donate a Toy

Many Salvation Army centers in Minnesota and North Dakota operate toy collections throughout the holiday season in partnership with local businesses.

Toy collection needs and dates vary by location, so please contact your local Salvation Army to learn more:

Bless a Family

Some Salvation Army centers in Minnesota and North Dakota offer holiday sponsorships, such as the Angel Tree program, to pair families enduring hardship with individuals or groups who provide food, clothing and gifts for each family member.

Holiday sponsorship needs and dates vary by location, so please contact your local Salvation Army to learn more:

In the Twin Cities, there is not an Angel Tree or Adopt a Family program. The best way to help local families is to provide toys for the Twin Cities Toy Shop program, which serves about 25,000 children each year.
