All MOST Amazing Race donations matched up to $5K, Sept. 21-27

With just over two weeks until The MOST Amazing Race kicks off, there is still time for teams to register, fundraise and compete for fun and prizes – all while supporting a great cause.
To make it even easier for racers to raise money for The Salvation Army’s food and housing programs, local travel tour company AdventuresToEurope.com is generously matching all race donations, up to $5,000, Sept. 21-27.
“This is such a great incentive that will help our racers cross the finish line strong,” said Julie Orlando, Salvation Army events manager and the creator of The MOST Amazing Race. “Teams need to meet minimum fundraising requirements to participate, and AdventuresToEurope.com’s match is a great incentive to raise even more to help people in need.”
Still Time to Join the Race
The MOST Amazing Race is Saturday, Oct. 7, starting in Como Park. It’s modeled after the TV show and will take racers across the Twin Cities on foot or by public transportation. They solve clues, race to secret checkpoints and complete both mental and physical challenges.
There is still room in both the Gold and Silver divisions of the race. Racers must be 18 years old, and sign up with a partner. The Gold division is competing for a $5k grand prize, and those racers need to raise a minimum of $500 to compete. Silver division racers compete for other great prizes and need to raise at least $250 to participate.
“The challenges for this year are top secret, as always,” Orlando explained. “But we can promise you it will be a fun and exciting day. Even better, you’re helping support The Salvation Army’s work with the hungry and the homeless.”
Still Time to Volunteer
Volunteers are critical to the success of The MOST Amazing Race–plus, it’s guaranteed to be a fun, funny and action-packed day. We’re looking for volunteers to join us from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. at challenge locations across St. Paul. You’ll get to set up for the challenges (and clean them up at the end), judge the teams and even try them out yourselves. Even if you can’t stay the whole day, we can work with you! Sign up to volunteer and join the fun.
