Event Details

Date: Friday, June 2

Time: all day event

Venue: Soldier's Field Veterans Memorial

Serving donuts to troops during World War IEvery year on the first Friday in June, the Rochester Salvation Army joins the rest of the country in celebrating National Donut Day. Started in 1938 as a fundraiser to help those in need during the Great Depression and to celebrate the “Lassies” that served donuts to soldiers in World War 1, National Donut Day has developed into a day of thanks for veterans groups everywhere. Join us all day on June 2 at Soldier’s Field Veterans Memorial to thank our veterans, and grab a free donut.
