National Donut Day 2017
Date: Friday, June 2
Time: all day event
Venue: Soldier's Field Veterans Memorial
Every year on the first Friday in June, the Rochester Salvation Army joins the rest of the country in celebrating National Donut Day. Started in 1938 as a fundraiser to help those in need during the Great Depression and to celebrate the “Lassies” that served donuts to soldiers in World War 1, National Donut Day has developed into a day of thanks for veterans groups everywhere. Join us all day on June 2 at Soldier’s Field Veterans Memorial to thank our veterans, and grab a free donut.
