Join us for Healthy & Housed: Race for the Key, a 5K run or walk for improving the health and housing stability of people who’ve experienced homelessness. The inaugural race on Saturday, Oct. 12 will benefit four Minneapolis emergency homeless shelters, including The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center. Each of these shelters work daily to assist residents with moving into their own homes.
Those who enjoy running and walking for fun and believe in the mission to end homelessness are encouraged to participate. The race will be timed, with complimentary food and water available after the race. Check in begins at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m. at Theodore Wirth Park Beach House.
The cost to participate is $30 and includes a t-shirt. Individuals and families currently experiencing homelessness are encouraged to participate free of cost. Children under 12 may also participate for free, though no t-shirt will be provided. Click the “More Information” button to sign up online.
