Coats for Kids coat drive
Date: October 6 - October 19, 2014
Time: Two week coat drive
Venue: Various coat drop off locations
The Salvation Army Coats for Kids program has been keeping Twin Cities kids warm for 29 years, collecting and distributing over 312,000 coats and winter accessories.
The 2014 coat drive runs through Oct. 19. New and clean, gently-used coats and winter accessories (mittens, gloves, hats, snow boots, snow pants, etc.) can be dropped off at one of our Coats for Kids partners including Cub and Kowalski’s (full list of drop off locations). After donations are collected, sorted, and cleaned, families are invited to our service centers to select needed items to help keep their children warm through the winter.
Don’t have a coat to donate? You can also give online to help buy new coats. A $16 donation covers the cost of a warm winter coat for a kid in need. And, when you give to Coats for Kids from Oct. 6-19, your monetary donation will be doubled by Alerus Mortgage.
Volunteers are still needed to sort coats and help at the coat distributions.
