Your old clothing may be worth more than you think
(Watch video) – Spring is synonymous with renewal, rebirth and new life. It is no wonder then, that so many of us find ourselves cleaning out closets, dresser drawers, garages, and basements as we tidy up for the start of a new season.
Before you toss all that unwanted stuff away, please consider donating it to a Salvation Army Store.
“When we sell the things you donate, you help provide meals, pay utility bills, provide clothing, and fund our programs and services throughout your local community,” said Lt. Col. Lonneal Richardson, commander of The Salvation Army Northern Division.
Proceeds from stores in Greater Minnesota and North Dakota are used to support basic needs programs. By shopping or giving at the Twin Cities area stores, you are helping to fund a life-saving rehabilitation program. To learn more, visit the Adult Rehabilitation Center page.
Your tax deductible donation may be more valuable than you think. If you just wrote a check to Uncle Sam, you know how valuable these deductions can be.
